From April 20-21, 2024, the highly anticipated Middle East Ethereum developer conference took center stage in the city of Dubai, bringing together prominent builders, founders, educators, and investors from across the globe. Held at the prestigious Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, the conference was a melting pot of innovative ideas between Web3 enthusiasts from all walks of life.

The conference featured a variety of workshops, talks, and exhibitions, all aimed at exploring emerging trends and cutting-edge technologies. Some of the main highlights were expert talks on Layer 2 solutions, privacy, Account Abstraction, DAOs, and how to build a better user experience overall. Renowned speakers such as Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov, Eigenlayer co-founder Vyas Krishnan, and Celestia Labs COO Nick White graciously shared their insights and expertise with attendees.

Empowering Founders and Investors

One of the most memorable parts of ETHDubai was the Demo Day Pitching and VC Speed Dating sessions. Founders enjoyed the chance to showcase their projects in front of an interested VC audience and have face-to-face discussions with potential investors.

ETHDubai Hackathon
There was also a hackathon held from April 19-21 to encourage creativity and collaboration—and hopefully, pioneer the next breakthrough in blockchain innovation. Developers worked against the clock to build practical and effective solutions to real-world problems using decentralized technologies. Whether participating remotely or in person, attendees had the chance to join the hackathon either solo or as teams of up to 4 members. With a prize pool of $25,000 up for grabs and the spirit of camaraderie present in the air, it was definitely an exciting experience for all who participated.
