Last May 19, Michael “CritG” Geron of Gainers Ground held a basic trading class for trading enthusiasts in Cebu. The event was held at enspace Cebu Business Park and was organized by WAV3 which garnered up to 50 participants who eagerly learned from Michael’s experience as a trader. The event focused on introducing technical analysis, trading strategies, and trading indicators.

His approach to the lecture was unique and unorthodox as he condensed trading strategies into more Gen-Z friendly terms by utilizing the roles of Mobile Legends, a popular mobile multiplayer online battle arena game. By correlating trading strategies with the behavior of different Mobile Legend roles, Michael aimed to make the lecture more interactive and understandable for the younger audiences. He also introduced the basics of technical analysis concepts such as support, resistance, candlesticks, and trends. His expertise allowed audiences to understand the specific behaviors that traders should exhibit at certain areas of a chart.

3 years ago, Michael Gernon started his hiatus in coaching and holding classes for communities about trading. Coincidentally, his last teaching class was also held in Cebu. After a fellow crypto enthusiast friend, RamenCrypto, persisted that Michael resume his teaching classes, he decided to take a chance and hold it again with Cebu as a start. His experience with the Cebuano audience has been an exhilarating one as he expressed that the community is both unified yet open to multiple possibilities which Michael believes he delivered the best quality of technical analysis education to the audience.

Michael also stressed the need for more trading leaders to establish the pillars of a local trading community. This is needed to encourage beginners to venture into a cutthroat industry by allowing them to tap to trading leaders. Gainers Ground, a trading group that he founded, believes they are able to support and foster the growth of trading communities by providing beginners the edge to start their crypto trading.  In the event, they introduced a trading course covering four skills needed to be an exemplary trader. As the event yielded a successful gathering of traders and crypto enthusiasts alike, Michael Gernon continues to have bigger plans to empower trading in the Philippines through Gainers Ground.
