Highlights from BSA's "Getting Started with Blockchain" Workshop at Mapua University
On October 4, 2024, Blockchain Student Alliance (BSA) hosted an engaging and informative workshop titled "Getting Started with Blockchain: Guided Learning for Career Impact." This in-person event took place in the Seminar Room at Mapúa University in Intramuros, Manila and aimed to equip students with essential knowledge about blockchain fundamentals and the myriad opportunities this cutting-edge technology offers.
Co-presented by 0xSonicLabs and supported by Tribally Games and Wild Forest, the workshop provided a platform for students to learn from industry experts, gain insights into the blockchain landscape, and explore how to leverage this technology for future career success.
Engaging interaction, Icebreakers and Q&A Sessions
Following this, Jiro Reyes from Bitskwela led a 40-minute discussion introducing the fundamentals of blockchain. At 1:45 PM, Gunlocke from Tribally took the stage for an hour-long presentation on blockchain gaming.
To foster interaction, a brief icebreaker session announced the first four raffle winners at 2:45 PM. This was followed by Andrea Castillo from BSA, who delivered a 30-minute talk on how blockchain education can boost careers and unlock new opportunities. Attendees then engaged in an open forum and Q&A session from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM, allowing for direct interaction with the speakers.
The event concluded with the announcement of the top three raffle winners and a five-minute awarding of certificates, photo opportunities, and closing remarks. Finally, participants exited the venue from 4:05 PM to 4:35 PM, reflecting on the valuable insights gained throughout the afternoon.
