Highlights from BSA's "Getting Started with Blockchain" Workshop in Partnership with FEU JFINEX
On November 5, 2024, the FEU Mini Auditorium was filled with energy as students and blockchain enthusiasts came together for Getting Started with Blockchain: Guided Learning for Career Impact. This in-person workshop was designed to help participants understand the basics of blockchain technology and discover how it can open up exciting career opportunities.
This event, co-organized by the FEU Organization of Junior Finance Executives (JFINEX) in partnership with Polkadot OpenGuild, delivered an engaging program filled with insightful discussions, interactive activities, and networking opportunities.
Keynote Speakers
The event featured two distinguished speakers. Patricia Arro, a seasoned blockchain professional with six years of experience, kicked off the session with her talk, Introduction to Blockchain. Known for her dynamic leadership in global and regional blockchain communities, Pat shared foundational knowledge about the technology and its transformative impact across various industries. Her presentation was well-received, as she seamlessly broke down complex concepts into digestible insights.
Following a brief raffle session that kept the audience energized, Pat returned for her second discussion, Boost Your Career and Unlock Opportunities with Blockchain Education. She highlighted the vast career opportunities in the blockchain space and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and community engagement.
Jiro Reyes, CEO of Bitskwela, also joined the event and provided valuable perspectives during the open forum. His vast experience as a tech entrepreneur added depth to the discussion, particularly on how blockchain can revolutionize traditional systems and open new career pathways.
Special Guests and Interactive Sessions
The event also welcomed Andrea Pilapil, Head of the Blockchain Student Alliance, who contributed to the dynamic discussions during the open forum. Students were eager to engage, raising thought-provoking questions about blockchain applications and career advice.
Throughout the session, attendees participated in interactive activities, including a raffle that added excitement and camaraderie.
