Introducing Alfred Quiambao, the Growth & Strategy Officer for BayaniChain. BayaniChain is a Blockchain-as-a-Service platform serving enterprises and government entities. His journey in Web3 is a wild roller coaster ride as he treads through the ups and downs of cryptocurrency. His massive exposure to Web3 as a young Web3 leader has gained him extensive experience as he shares his conviction as to why Web3 is his calling.

Can you give us a background of what you do?

While pursuing my college degree, I explored and dabbled in various small businesses in the food and retail industry. In 2021, Axie Infinity entered the scene, and the rest is history! Currently, I’m working as the Growth & Strategy Officer for BayaniChain, a Blockchain-as-a-Service platform serving enterprises and government entities. Additionally, I represent one of the largest NFT group in Southeast Asia, the Diamond Supercommunity! Moreover, I am actively involved in building my first small company, Vivanto, which operates in the real estate brokerage industry.

What made you interested in Web3?

Initially, my interest in Web3 was sparked by the potential for financial gain. Back in 2021, I was solely focused on maximizing earnings. However, as time passed and we experienced the green and red of the market, I came to realize that Web3 offers so much more than just making money. It's about the technology, the sense of community, and the vast networks it fosters. Whether the market is bullish or bearish, Web3 continues to present endless opportunities for growth and exploration.

How is working/building in Web3 different from other industries?

After completing my college internship and working part-time in a corporate job, I developed a strong conviction that the traditional Web2 corporate industry is not suited for me. I felt that the old system imposed limitations on personal growth and character development. In comparison, the Web3 industry fosters creativity. Another significant aspect is the opportunity to connect with people worldwide in various industries. A relevant question to consider is, 'Web3 is the future. Don’t you want to be a part of it?

What’s your proudest achievement in Web3

One of my proudest moments in Web3 is being part of a community filled with amazing and professional people. It's such a blessing to have this exposure at a young age. I'm really grateful that I was able to mint and be part of the executive team of Diamond NFT!

If there’s something you would like to change in your Web3 journey, what would it be?

Perhaps the only thing I would change in my Web3 journey is the fact that I became too greedy during my NFT degen journey! I should have taken some profits :)

What’s the biggest problem that you think Web3 can solve?

I believe that one of the most significant problems Web3 can address is the way large enterprises operate in terms of logistics and systems. Another important issue that Web3 has the potential to resolve is the lack of transparency between the private and public.
