What made you interested in Web3?

I got into Web3 back in 2021 when I first started trading and wanted to dive deeper into crypto. My boss connected me with Kuya Rubz, our founder in DDC. Instead of focusing on trading analysis, he introduced me to blockchain and let me try out some DeFi apps. This hands-on experience opened my eyes to the possibilities of decentralized technology and sparked my curiosity about how it all worked. The next thing I knew, we were planning our first community meetup. From there, I started learning everything I could about blockchain and Web3, amazed by how it empowers people with more control over their data, assets, and online identity. Now, I’m helping people onboard into Web3, while continuing to learn from the experts in our community. Even two years later, I’m still amazed by the constant advancements in blockchain and how more major industries are integrating it into their systems

How is working/building in Web3 different from other industries?

Working in Web3 is definitely a different vibe compared to other industries. It’s much more collaborative and community-driven. There’s a big focus on transparency and open communication, and things move pretty quickly because the tech is always evolving. It’s super exciting because we’re building systems that challenge traditional ways of handling finance, identity, and ownership.

What’s your proudest achievement in Web3?

My proudest achievement is co-founding DDC. It’s been amazing to create a community where people can dive into Web3 and feel confident about it. Plus, I’ve learned so much from all the brilliant people around me, especially within the community. It's been inspiring to connect with others who share the same passion for decentralization and blockchain.

If there’s something you would like to change in your Web3 journey, what would it be?

If I could change something about my Web3 journey, I wish I’d started learning about blockchain sooner. The earlier I could’ve gotten a deeper understanding, the more I could’ve shared with my fellow Filipinos and helped them get comfortable with this new tech. But I’m still glad I started when I did!

What’s the biggest problem that you think Web3 can solve?

One of the biggest problems Web3 can solve is financial exclusion. It can offer secure, decentralized banking and investment options to people who don't have access to traditional financial services. This is especially impactful in places where financial systems aren’t reliable or accessible to everyone.

What’s your BTC price prediction in 2030?

I don’t really make price predictions, but I do think Bitcoin could hit around $500,000. What I’ve noticed is that Web3 communities are really growing and spreading awareness about blockchain. This increased engagement and education could have a huge impact on the market and bring more people into the space, which could boost Bitcoin’s value over time.
