What made you interested in Web3?
What drew me to Web3 was the idea of owning your own digital space. In Web3, you don’t just use the internet; you control your data, your assets, and your identity. It’s an opportunity to challenge the status quo and give power back to the individual. I’m passionate about being part of that shift, where everyone has a seat at the table and access to the tools to succeed.
How is working/building in Web3 different from other industries?
Working in Web3 is a whole new ball game. It’s collaborative by nature—no one’s doing it alone. The pace is fast, and things change constantly because the technology is always growing. What makes Web3 exciting is that we’re building a whole new infrastructure that’s going to change everything—how we work, own, and interact online. It’s all about rethinking what’s possible.
What’s your proudest achievement in Web3?
Hands down, it’s co-founding the Davao DeFi Community and creating a legacy. Seeing our community grow and helping people—who would never have known about blockchain otherwise—feels incredible. We’re not just talking about the future of tech; we’re making it happen here, now, in the Philippines. I’m especially proud to see our committee members becoming the CEOs of their own Web3 projects. It’s also been amazing to witness tech communities in Mindanao get onboarded into Web3 and build their own Web3 communities, especially the students. Seeing all of this unfold is truly what makes this journey so rewarding. Plus, I’ve found an incredible team, where we’re all aligned and have become more like family.
If there’s something you would like to change in your Web3 journey, what would it be?
If I could do one thing differently, it would be diving into blockchain technology sooner and building my own Web3 project with the help of my co-founders in the Davao DeFi Community. I would have loved to raise the flag for women in blockchain earlier, working alongside like-minded leaders to amplify women’s voices in this space and pave the way for more female leadership in the blockchain industry. But I believe I’m in the right timeline. There’s still a long way to go!
What’s the biggest problem that you think Web3 can solve?
Web3 has the potential to solve the problem of financial access. In a world where billions of people are left out of traditional financial systems, blockchain can offer a way to get people involved in banking, investing, and owning assets. Web3 can bring financial independence to those who have never had access to it before.
What’s your BTC price prediction in 2030?
I believe Bitcoin will see significant growth by 2030, with a potential range between $600,000 to $750,000. As more people embrace decentralized finance and blockchain technology, the demand for Bitcoin will continue to rise, especially as adoption increases globally. With the growing focus on Bitcoin as a store of value and the advancements in technology and scalability, I predict that Bitcoin will stabilize and solidify its position as a leading digital asset.
By 2030, I expect Bitcoin's price to hit somewhere around $700,000, driven by growing institutional interest, global economic shifts, and the further decentralization of financial systems. But like with any market, volatility will remain, and the true potential of Bitcoin lies in its ability to disrupt traditional finance and empower individuals worldwide.
