Introducing Michael Geron, also known by his pseudonym “Crit G”, as a rising Web3 leader known for his resilience and perseverance by leveraging his success through Cryptocurrency trading. As a skilled crypto trader, he has cultivated his craft to both succeed in life and help other people through community building. His community, Gainer’s Ground, has helped many aspiring cryptocurrency traders understand and navigate the cutthroat world of the cryptocurrency markets.

Can you give us a background of what you do?

I was an OFW 6 years ago where I experienced a lot of blue-collar jobs such as dining hall staff, kitchen staff, factory worker, housekeeping and even kargador at Haneda airport. Back when I was an OFW, I bumped into crypto in 2018 (Web3 was not even a word back then), it was a dire bear market where the only way to earn was through futures trading and through that I delved into the depths of cryptocurrency. In 2022, I founded one of the fastest growing crypto trading communities here in the Philippines, Gainers Ground. Right now we focus on educating young minds, next-gen filipinos who would like to hustle through trading, one gainer at a time.

What made you interested in web3?

Of course, money! Kidding aside, I was in a life of repetition back then. What I do, day in and day out, is just repetition, I don’t even see a career path as it is manual labor. As the day went by, It made me realize that this is an equalizer of wealth, a battle of skill, mind and perseverance that led me to start a thriving community.

How is working/building in Web3 different from other industries?

Though Web3 is about decentralization, the building blocks are centered in the community. Where every player matters, information is everywhere you can start anytime and you can do it at all times. I strongly believe that the best step when starting in web3 is joining the best community as it will unveil endless possibilities.

If there’s something you would like to change in your Web3 journey, what would it be?

I will never change any part of my web3 journey, It was great as it is. I experienced earning-it-all and losing-it-all almost twice, 2017-2018 when Bitconnect collapsed and 2019-2020 when the market dumped from 9k to 3k in just 2 days because of the pandemic dump. I was greedy back then. I will not be responsible with finances if I haven’t experienced it. I am who I am right now because of this failure, I am resilient because I go through it and it made me grow through it. Amor Fati.

What’s the biggest problem that you think Web3 can solve?

Web3 is the future and it will solve a lot of problems not only with regards to finances but also in system, process, culture, transparency and so on. Possibilities are endless when everything is on-chain.

What’s your BTC price prediction in 2030?

As of this writing, Gold is at $14.8 trillion in market cap whereas Bitcoin is at $1.3 trillion market cap. Gold didn’t accumulate that immense amount of money in just a few months or years, it took a huge amount of time. To play-it-safe and answer this question logically, maybe $200k by the end of 2030.
