What made you interested in Web3?
I first got into crypto back in 2016-2017 when I watched a local news segment about Bitcoin. This digital currency was already being mined by some Filipinos at that time. Around the same period, Coins.ph had made its way into our local community, and that's when I first invested in Bitcoin, buying 2,000 PHP worth. Fast forward to 2020, I decided to fully dive into this space and have since learned more about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, NFTs, and now Web3.
How is working/building in Web3 different from other industries?
I can say that it's almost the same just removing face-to-face work. It's really great to work in the Web3 space because you'll have more time with your family because the majority of people working in this space are also working from home or hybrid. Building a community in Web3 is also fun as long as you work with the right people with the same goal and mindset.
What’s your proudest achievement in Web3?
So far, my latest achievement in Web3 is that we have been able to provide jobs and opportunities to people who want to onboard in Web3. At the same time, we equip them with the knowledge and resources they need for their daily work, as well as information that can be used in their everyday lives.
If there’s something you would like to change in your Web3 journey, what would it be?
I want to be a developer so I can create things and solutions that are on my mind and possibly help people around and have a better and faster way of living through these innovative technologies we have.
What’s the biggest problem that you think Web3 can solve?
I believe the biggest problem so far is the adaptation of these technologies in our local community. There are still many Filipinos who are unaware of Web3 and Blockchain or they still think our space is a big scam. To address this, I think the government and local banks need to adapt as well, rather than creating their own digital currency, which only adds to people's uncertainty and doubts about the practical uses of crypto and blockchain.
What’s your BTC price prediction in 2030?
