Wild Forest, the popular Play-to-Earn (P2E) strategy game, has unveiled its updated whitepaper. The whitepaper showcases exciting new features, refined gameplay mechanics, and an ambitious roadmap for the future. What is Wild Forest?

Wild Forest is a P2E real-time strategy (RTS) blockchain game where players compete with each other in a fast-paced PvP battle. Featuring a variety of animal-like characters, players summon units, build structures, and capture territories to destroy the enemy’s main base. 

The game allows users to form their own unique deck of 7 cards to use in the battle. Each card has a direct unit representation in the game with its type, stats, and abilities. Players then play these cards on the battlefield, positioning their units and structures strategically to reach their opponent. Wild Forest is also free-to-play, requiring no initial investment or Web3 knowledge to begin playing. Whether one is a dedicated on-chain gamer or someone from the traditional gaming space, Wild Forest has something to offer to them.

Whitepaper Updates

1. Refined Progression System

Wild Forest has introduced a new seasonal Leaderboard system, making progression more rewarding and accessible. The new Leaderboard system introduces Divisions with power limits, matchmaking pools, and seasonal rewards, allowing players to compete at their deck’s level. Weekly Tours reset Leaderboard Points and offer fresh rewards, including $WF tokens, NFTs, and in-game assets. Each Division ensures balanced battles with adjusted power for over-leveled Units. With shorter seasons and weekly rewards, climb the ranks and enjoy a more competitive, fair experience!

2. Enhanced Lord Bonuses

The whitepaper delves deeper into Castle Leasing and Lord Staking, two features that elevate Wild Forest's strategy and resource management. These features are not live yet and will be implemented in a future game update.

• Castle Leasing: In the game, Castles provide various resources and exclusive Unit benefits through their structures. There are 5 tiers of structures for Castles: Camps, Chateaus, Towers, Fortresses, and Citadels. Each structure requires a certain rank for a staked Lord with higher tier structures offering more benefits. Wild Forest will soon allow players to lease their Castles to other players in exchange for $WF income. This creates  new economic opportunities for all Lord Stakers.
  
  
• Lords NFTs Staking Bonuses: Lords NFTs represent a rare collection in Wild Forest, providing unique benefits to those who have them. With only 5000 available NFTs, they act as an early adopters badge, offering more opportunities to holders. These Lords NFTs can also be staked for additional bonuses such as:some text
  • Exclusive Castle Features: Staking a Lord unlocks access to special Castle features: Training Camps, Recruitment Centers, and Taverns.
  • Stake bonuses: Longer stakes provide higher bonuses, enhancing every structure in the Castle.
  • Unit Fragments: Staked Lords yield extra daily Unit Fragments, accelerating Unit minting and deck development.
  • Whitelists and priority access to events: Staking the Lords provides access to exclusive mints from Wild Forest partners, Community Round allocation, Whitelists to the NFT sales, and priority access to all the Wild Forest ecosystem events.

3. New Game Mode: Expeditions

One of the standout whitepaper updates is the introduction of Expeditions, a brand-new game mode that allows players to send their Units on missions to gather resources and earn rewards. This feature is not live yet and will be implemented in a future game update. 

Expeditions offer players a chance to send their Units on missions for lucrative resources, while introducing an element of risk as Units can be permanently lost. The quality of rewards and success rates scale with Unit rank, with higher rank Units having a higher chance to return and with better rewards. However, these Expeditions take time to complete and lock Units from battle during its duration. As an idle game mode, Expeditions complement the primary gameplay loop, focusing on resource acquisition for future in-game crafting mechanics.

4. Gameplay Evolution: Units and Perks

Wild Forest continues to evolve its gameplay mechanics with reworked Perks, the introduction of new Unit rarities, and expanded leveling systems.

• New Unit Rank: Players can rank-up their units in Wild Forest. Ranking-up increases a Unit’s stats by 10% per rank and raises the Unit’s level cap based on its rarity. The game previously featured 5 ranks: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Soon, Wild Forest will be introducing a rank above Legendary with the Mystic rank along with a higher level cap on Mystic Units. This allows dedicated players to progress their Units even more. 
• Perk System Overhaul: Perks are special passive abilities in-game that unlock randomly as Units rank up to Epic, Legendary, and Mystic ranks. The recent update revamped the Perk system as well, adding new Perks and drop chances. Wild Forest is also planning to add a feature to reroll for Perks in future updates.
  
  

5. Strengthened Game Economy and Token Utility

The updated whitepaper emphasizes a sustainable game economy with enhanced utility for the $WF token.

• Unit Mint System: Wild Forest Units can be minted into NFTs to trade on the open market. Unit Minting requires a $WF fee to complete though the mint fee will start low and increase with more daily mints. Free Mint tokens will also be implemented in the future. 
• Expanded $WF Uses: $WF’s utility now spans multiple facets, including premium upgrades, crafting, and DAO-related governance. The new Token Share Program also redistributes a portion of fees back to the players. This hopes to incentivize organic growth and provide benefits based on contributions to the Wild Forest ecosystem.
