The application process for these paid roles in 'The Co-Worker Game' is now open and will close on Sunday, June 16th.

The Co-Worker Game, a virtual world set to launch on Roblox on June 24th, has been revealed by IKEA. This interactive platform allows players to explore IKEA's distinctive approach to employment, where traditional career paths are not the norm and lateral transitions between departments are frequent.

The virtual store not only marks the brand's initial venture into the world of mainstream gaming, but it also offers individuals the opportunity to fully engage in the IKEA work environment. In the game, a few virtual co-worker positions are available for a fee.

The virtual store is currently accepting applications for various positions starting today, June 3rd, 2024. The deadline for submission is on Sunday, June 16th. Ten new co-workers will be hired and compensated for their shifts. Those who get hired will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities, assist customers, and potentially advance to different departments, mirroring real-life job opportunities.

In addition to the employees who are being paid, the larger Roblox community, including both gamers and fans of IKEA, will now have the opportunity to engage with and explore the virtual IKEA world on Roblox. Users can visit the well-known Swedish Food Market and Bistro and serve unlimited meatballs, or they can check out the different showrooms and utilize popular IKEA items to arrange the space - welcome to the world of HEMNES heaven. And as a bonus, there will be opportunities to win exclusive IKEA user-generated content.

Additionally, selected applicants will be scheduled for virtual interviews for the entirely remote role, set to occur between Thursday, June 14th, and Tuesday, June 18th, 2024. Successful candidates will receive an hourly wage based on IKEA's Co-Worker rate for their involvement in the game.
